Portable Restroom Rental Costs & Fees
Portable toilets can be useful in many different places, including construction sites (residential and commercial), campsites, weddings, parties, social events, music festivals, concerts, golf courses, parades, carnivals, fairs, and sporting events.
Renting portable toilets doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
The cost of renting portable restrooms varies from city to city. In order to ensure you’re getting a fair price, you should get quotes from several local rental services. If you need a little help, you can use ProMatcher’s free matching service to get quotes from local companies.
The cost of renting portable toilets will depend on:
1) Number of restrooms needed. How many people will be attending the event? How large is the event area? A backyard? Several acres? The restrooms should be dispersed appropriately throughout the entire area.
2) Your geographic location. Rental rates tend to be more expensive in large metropolitan areas where the cost of living is particularly high.
3) Delivery distance. Local deliveries are typically included in the cost of renting the restrooms. Any long-distance travel will be an additional expense.
4) Length of the event or project. Is this a one-day event? Or, will you need the toilet for several months, even a year? Signing a long-term contract may help you save money over time. Weekly maintenance should be included in the rental fees.
5) Type of restrooms needed. Do you just need basic, single-stall toilets? Are you required to have wheelchair accessible units available as well? You may also consider renting multi-stall trailers with running water and air-conditioning? These executive restroom trailers can be expensive, especially ones with showers and other upgraded features.
6) Site accessibility. Can the rental company's truck easily reach the job site to deliver and maintain the units? Are the necessary water and power connections available (if necessary)?
7) Hand washing stations. Most rental units will include a hand sanitizer dispenser. If you would like additional hand washing stations on-site, this will come at an additional cost. However, if you are serving food, this is a particularly important accessory.
8) On-site janitorial services. Hiring a bathroom attendant to replenish supplies during your event will also increase the toilet cost of renting the toilets.
9) Permit fees. In some cases, you may need to apply for a permit. This is mostly the case for extended construction projects or multi-day events. Any permit fees will add to the cost of renting the toilets.
